Today - Manufacturing for Critical Applications Worldwide
Today, Puhakka produces aluminum castings for demanding sectors including LNG, cryogenic systems, energy infrastructure, and heavy industry.
Trusted in Demanding Environments
Puhakka castings are engineered for applications where reliability, structural integrity, and performance are non-negotiable.
Decades of Process Development
Over more than seven decades of continuous manufacturing and process refinement, Puhakka Metalcasting Company has developed proprietary aluminum casting methodologies focused on structural integrity, reliability, and performance in demanding industrial environments.
Functional Counter Gravity™ Shapecasting Technology represents the evolution of decades of engineering development, metallurgical research, and hands-on foundry experience. Designed for critical applications where consistency and material integrity matter most, the process enables the production of high-performance aluminum castings for industries where failure is not an option.
Today, Puhakka continues to advance its manufacturing capabilities while building on a legacy of innovation established in Cambridge, Ontario since 1955.
Certified for Critical Applications
Puhakka Metalcasting Company is the only foundry in the world to be Mode 1 qualified by all four major Classification Societies for the manufacture of aluminum castings to be used in Cryogenic LNG applications: Lloyd's Register, DNV, BV and ABS. The increased mechanical property requirements imposed by Lloyd's Register prohibits all other foundries from qualifying.
Still Manufacturing in Cambridge, Ontario
More than seventy years after opening its doors, Puhakka Metalcasting Company continues to operate from Cambridge, Ontario - the same community where the company was founded in 1955.
Through changing markets, evolving industrial standards, and decades of growth across the manufacturing sector, Puhakka has maintained a continuous presence built on long-term relationships, operational consistency, and specialized aluminum casting expertise.
